Bioengineering is also called as biological engineering or biotechnological engineering. It is the combinations of biology such as physics, chemistry, and mathematics and computer science. Molecular biology is the study about the advance applications of living organisms. Biological engineering is the most associated with the biomedical engineering. The main work of biomedical engineers is particularly focused on biological and other sciences related to medical innovations. There are many non- biological products are used for medical needs and biological products for non- medical needs. Biomimetics is one kind of branch of biological engineering. The systems of biological engineered is used to collect information, process chemicals, construct materials, provide food, produce energy and maintain human health and environment. Biological engineers have the knowledge about pure and applied sciences, mass and heat transfer, biocatalysts, kinetics, bioinformatics, biomechanics, bioreactor design, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, polymer science and surface science. Biological engineering systems can be applied in the agricultural engineering and biotechnology.
